Raised in Kumasi, Ghana, Koby is the CEO of Oya Group and has played an instrumental role in the shift in focus to a pan-African expansion. He led setup and execution of Oya’s first market launch in Tanzania in 2020 and subsequent openings in Uganda and Kenya.

Prior, Koby co-founded Peak Investment Capital (PIC), an Africafocused search fund. Initially focusing on the food service industry, Koby grew PIC into a leading African food service provider with an expanding African presence. His unique success story was profiled as a case study by Harvard Business School to identify learnings on operating search funds in Africa which had no prior major successes in the industry.

Prior to PIC, he was the Head of Strategy of Tigo Tanzania, where he led efforts to drive growth in regions outside Dar Es Salaam. Koby holds a Bsc in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
